Podcast Activity Proposal

The first podcast was created in 2003 (Doyle, 2005). Since then podcasts have been used to create content for many different topics. I wanted to do a podcast to educate people on the importance of updating all of their devices. People have the impression that the only thing that you need to update is your computer. They forget that your phones, apps, smart television, and devices that are considered Internet Of Things (IOT). My Podcast is will be able to answer the following questions 1) Which devices do we need to update? 2) Why do we need to update? 3) What is the consequences if you do not update?

Description of the Activity

In order to create the podcast. I first attended Podcast class that was been offered at Hudson   Community College.   Kim Sumpter was the instruction for the class. She was a former DJ in several different cities. For a podcast to be carried by different podcast services. (Apple, Spotify, Pandora) it needs to have certain criteria. You cannot just record something and post it online. There is an industry standard that one must follow in order to get your podcast onlineThis include cover art, music, and select which software you are going to use to record the show. I was able to solicit a guest for the show via LinkedIn. Choose the software that you are going to use for audio and editing. Audacity was the software that was recommended in the class. After six weeks of prepping and testing we were able to record our show.
